FROM SOIL TO VINE
Les Patys is a family winery created in 2013 by Thierry Delasalles in Bédoin, on the southern foothills of Mont-Ventoux. It has been certified organic since 2018.
Vineyard and Terroir
Established on an area of twelve hectares with a predominance of clay-limestone, the vineyard benefits from the Mediterranean climate, characterized by a hot and dry summer, a mild winter with sharp drops in temperature down to -15° C, sometimes violent rains in autumn and spring.
The oldest vines were planted in the 1970s and the average age of the vineyard is 35 years. All our parcels are run in organic agriculture AB, they are claimed in AOC Ventoux. The main grape varieties are Grenache noir, Syrah and Carignan for the reds and rosé and Roussanne, Clairette, Grenache blanc and Vermentino for the whites.
We also produce ORGANIC olive oil in AOC Provence from the local variety l'aglandau or la verdale de Carpentras. This small green olive turning to purple gives an oil Green fruity when it is crushed at harvest or matured after fermenting for a few days away from the air.
